2025 Progress at Play Competition,

George Mason University Korea hosts the annual Progress at Play Competition, urging global students to craft computer games or digital art addressing contemporary social issues. The competition aims to debunk negative perceptions surrounding computer games while promoting public awareness of current societal challenges.

Competition Theme

Participants can freely express the following social issues through Social Impact Digital Art

Eligibility

The Progress at Play Competition is open to all middle school, high school, and university students in Korea and all around the world
We are waiting for your participation.

We greatly appreciate your interest and participation.

Media Categories and Sizes

Participants can choose from Animation, Webtoon, Computer Game, Films, and Illustration for their submissions.

For larger files exceeding 100mb, please provide a downloadable link.

There is no limit to the number of submissions, but only one work can be selected for the award. If a work is found to be plagiarized, it may be excluded from the competition.

Judging Criteria

Judging will be based on Social Values (30%), Completion (30%), Quality (20%), and Creativity/Uniqueness (20%).

    Has the chosen theme and issues surrounding it been fully expressed?

  • Completion (30%)

    Is the topic clearly communicated and the content highly complete?

  • Quality (20%)

    How well does the artwork utilize the principles of art and design?

  • Creativity/Uniqueness (20%)

    Differentiation and competitiveness from other works.

Awards and Benefits

* Middle and high school winners will receive a $2000 scholarship upon admission to George Mason University Korea.

* The organizer will not be responsible for the tax obligations associated with the prize money.

* Middle and high school winners will receive an award certificate from the Superintendent of the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education.
